Having The General Services Administration (GSA approval) on the Cimetrics B3075 BNSD, allows integrators designing BACnet networks for US Government Agencies to easily solve tough IT network integration issues.
The B3075 is a second-generation BACnet/IP to BACnet/IP router that enables BACnet communication between two physically separate IP networks (Private network and the Customer’s IT network).
It is designed to meet the requirements of demanding customers with a large number of BACnet/IP devices. It includes new management, diagnostics, and remote message logging functionality that can be selectively enabled. Based on the Cimetrics BACstacTM, this standalone router can reliably process a high volume of network traffic.
When would you need B3075?
– When IT is unwilling to provide all the IP addresses required for a project.
– When the integrator wants to control the assignment of IP addresses of the BACnet/IP devices.
– Increasingly strict IT requirements: IT may not want certain BACnet/IP devices connected to the IT-managed network (for example, devices that don’t support DHCP).
– IT may not allow UL864 switches or Ethernet ring networks (daisy chained and ring devices) to directly connect to IT-managed network switches.
