Beginner’s Guide to the IBB
Why Do We Need an IBB? The IBB (Interoperable Building Box) is orchestration software running on a physical or virtual machine that exists on-prem; the IBB acts as a standardized interface to connect a building’s local network to the Internet Cloud. The IBB runs containerized cloud-native applications and services based on the Open Container Initiative (OCI) standard. The IBB makes deploying and managing containerized software easier and more secure and provides an automated way for systems to discover and connect with systems having matching capabilities both within the IBB or in the Cloud in a plug-and-play manner. BACnet Modules
If you want to enable you to add BACnet capability to your products you can use Cimetrics BACnet modules. Our modules, based on the Lantronix XPort, are elongated Ethernet RJ45 connectors that can be built into your product. Each module contains a microprocessor, memory, Ethernet MAC/PHY, serial (UART) interface, and firmware written by Cimetrics. The serial interface is typically used to communicate with another microprocessor in your product. Learn more
